The private, for-profit, Protestant university has ended its contract for Ombuds services. In late 2012, BJU had retained an independent non-profit, Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment ("GRACE"), to serve as an Ombudsman for allegations of sexual abuse.
According to a press release, the university, "grew concerned" about how GRACE was pursuing its objectives. The two parties are negotiation for the completion of a public report about GRACE's work. (BJU PR Blog.)
