Internship Opportunity: American Red Cross

The Red Cross Office of the Corporate Ombudsman in Washington, DC is accepting applications for a full-time, summer internship. The opportunity is open to graduate students working towards a degree in Conflict Resolution or related field, and (for the first time) undergraduate seniors.

The intern may assist with the following activities:

Exploring various social science and psychology models relating to the dynamics of organizational and inter-personal conflict;
Supporting presentations and group facilitations undertaken by the office;
Supporting initiatives relating to quantifying value of dispute resolution programs; and
Supporting a project on building about collaboration and resolution functions on disaster relief operations.

They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals.
