The Swiss Banking Ombudsman, which was established in April 1993, is independent and neutral, and can provide reliable information to help avoid costly and sometimes lengthy legal proceedings. The program is underwritten by the Swiss Bankers Association and services are free for banking customers. In addition, the Ombudsman treats inquiries strictly confidential; bank are contacted only with the applicant’s permission.
