Colloquium on Bullying in Higher Ed Moves to Harvard

The Consortium on Abrasive Conduct in Higher Education (CACHE) will hold its the Third Annual Colloquium at Harvard University Law School on June 23-24, 2015. The 2015 Colloquium will include:

Group reflection on ways to create change in your own university regarding acts of

abrasive conduct;
Sharing sample practices gleaned from the previous colloquia; and
A learning forum to ask experts for recommendations regarding steps your institution could take to curtail abrasive behavior.

Organizational Ombuds

Organizational Ombuds serve as a confidential, independent, neutral and informal dispute resolution resource for a specific entity. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals. The term "Ombuds" is shorthand for "Ombudsman," "Ombudsperson" and "Ombuds Officer," which also are used widely.
