Liz Stone, Gallaudet's University Ombuds, has hired graduate assistant, Hanna Ferm, to assist with outreach, data analysis, trend identification, and office administration. Ferm is a first-year student in the Master of Social Work program and the first assistant to work in the Ombuds Office.
Ferm is an international student from Orebro, Sweden and her background includes overseeing young students in K-12 settings in both the U.S. and Sweden. She also worked as a Residential Counselor for the National Children's Center and was an intern for DAWN, a deaf domestic violence agency based in Washington, D.C. (Gallaudet Announcement.)
