Katy Kolodziejski: Former UCLA Ombuds

Katy Kolodziejski, who volunteered for two decades with the Office of the Ombuds at UCLA, passed away on June 20, 2017 at the age of 95. She came to the Ombuds Office after 35 years on the faculty in the School of Social Work. She officially retired from Ombuds work in December 2016.

In addition to her half-century association with UCLA, she was active in many local counseling and rehabilitation programs. A memorial service will be held on July 29th. (LATimes Obituary; UCLA Newsroom.)

  2. Katy came in for a lunch with all the UCLA Ombuds on April 22 and was presented with a commendation from the Chancellor. She will be deeply missed by many.
