- Some administrators do not support the use of the Ombuds;
- I don't want to be seen as or see myself as a 'complainer';
- I don't want to 'air my dirty laundry';
- Once I call the Ombuds, the situation will be out of my control;
- I don't want to be 'second-guessed';
- I don't believe the Ombuds is confidential;
- I should be able to solve this on my own
- Human Resources is already involved;
- My issue is too big;
- My issue is too small;
- I don't know what the Ombuds does; and
- I didn't know the Ombuds existed.
