The University of California San Francisco, a top-ranked academic healthcare institution, is hiring a full-time Associate Ombuds. The position will report to the Director and join a four-person team which includes Ellen Goldstein (Ombudsperson), Rita Callahan (Associate Ombudsperson), and Elin Horwedel (Program Coordinator). A concurrent search is open for the director position, which has been held by Maureen Brodie.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree; completion of workplace mediation training; five years of experience with handling two-party and group mediations; and knowledge of the appropriate role of an Ombuds. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and completion of IOA Foundations training. The position is listed on an “Open until filled” basis—early application is encouraged (Brassring).
