U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Opens Internal Search

The federal agency that issues patents and registers trademarks has opened an internal search for an Senior Associate Ombudsman in Alexandria, Virginia. Reporting to Paul Sotoudeh, the USPTO Chief Ombudsman, the position is currently 100% remote and is eligible for telework in the future. Only current USPTO employees may apply.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens/nationals and have the following experience: analyzing conflict and formulating or collaborating on the formulation of ombudsman or conflict resolution program initiatives; addressing new, complex, or unique issues as an ombudsman, including issues representing a departure from previous practices; serving as a liaison between an employee and management; and using the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques and processes used in organizational ombudsman practice, including understanding the mechanisms and benefits of each. The GS-14 position pays $126,233 - $164,102 per year. (USA Jobs.)
