Lakehead University Names Next Ombuds

Elizabeth Garofalo has been appointed the Ombudsperson for the public university in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The position is jointly funded by the university and the student union. She follows Gary Walbourne, who served in the role for the past three years. Garofalo will serve faculty, staff, and students at Lakehead.

Garofalo is new to Ombuds work and previously was a staff lawyer at Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic. She is a three-time alumnus of Lakehead University, having earned her BA, MA, and JD there. (TB News Watch.)
