The state education agency is hiring an Education Associate (Ombudsman) to work with parents of students with disabilities and school districts and other state agencies. According to the
SCDE Ombuds website, each case is handled, "with confidentiality, neutrality, informality, and independence." (Wanda Davis established the position last spring.) The position is located in the Office of Special Education Services in Columbia, SC.
