The small, private, liberal arts college in Boston has appointed Eliane Markoff as its first Ombudsperson. Markoff provides services to all members of the Wheelock College community, including about 1,200 students.
Markoff is a former member of Wheelock's Board of Trustees and worked for two decades in the high tech industry. She also serves as a panelist for the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) Dispute Resolution Inc.
Markoff was previously an adjunct professor at Bentley University, teaching organizational behavior and conflict resolution. She graduated from UMass-Amherst and earned an MBA from Boston College. She has completed mediation training with Cambridge Dispute Resolution and the Boston Law Collaborative. (Wheelock Ombuds.)
