ACR Sets Agenda for 2019 Conference, Including Session for Aspiring Ombuds

The Association for Conflict Resolution will hold its annual conference in Tucson, Arizona, September 18-21, 2019. The theme of the 19th annual meeting is "Heal the Divide: A Focus on the Role of ADR Practitioners in a Divided Society." ACR has an Ombuds Section and Ombuds are frequent presenters and attendees.  This year, researchers from Nova Southeastern University in Florida will present the only session about Ombuds:

Neil Katz [Professor, Dept. of Conflict Resolution Studies, Nova Southeastern University]; Linda Kovack [Doctoral Researcher, Nova]; Katherine Sosa [Adjunct Professor, Syracuse University, and Graduate Assistant, Nova]; and Kathy Watkins-Richardson [Production Editor, Journal for Peace and Conflict Studies, and PhD Candidate, Nova].

Katz, Sosa, and Kovak collaborated on an article for the Journal of IOA in January 2018. Katz was an author of the ACUS federal Ombuds study in 2016. And Katz and Kovak published their research on higher ed ADR resources for the Journal of Conflict Management in 2016. (ACR Conf Info.)
