Denver Public Schools Resumes Effort to Build Ombuds Program

Colorado the second largest public school system was dealt a sad setback last summer when its founding Ombudsperson, Sharon R. Bailey, passed away after just a few months on the job. Now, DPS has announced that Darlene LeDoux and Antoinette Hudson have been selected as the Ombudsperson and Associate Ombuds. Together, they will restart the effort to establish an Ombuds program for 15,000 DPS employees across more than 200 school sites. (DPS Announcements.)
LeDoux has been an educator in Colorado for over four decades. Most recently, she has served as a Senior Advisor (Leading and Coaching for Equity) for the Denver Public Schools. She is a trained coach and has taught at the university level in leadership and human resources. Her leadership activities have included serving as a Trustee at the University of Northern Colorado and Advisor to the President of the Community College of Denver, and President of the Colorado Association of School Personnel Administrators. LeDoux graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and earned a Masters and PhD at the University of Colorado at Denver. (Arrow Performance Group.)
