Stefanie Janes has joined the Ombuds Office at MSU. As the second, full-time Assistant Ombuds, her appointment marks the expansion of a program that serves all members of a large, public university. Janes reports to the University Ombudsperson, Shannon Lynn Burton, and join Assistant Ombudsperson, Ryan T. Smith. Janes comes to the position with 13 years of community nonprofit and higher education experience, including student advising at Wayne State University, Oakland University, and a decade at Lawrence Technological University. She earned her BS and MA at Oakland University, and is completing an EDD at the University of Colorado Denver. (LinkedIn.)
