Wake County Public School System Issues RFI for Ombuds Services

WCPSS, a public school district in North Carolina, has issued a request for information for Ombuds services. The announcement indicated that the large school district had given up on its recent search for an employee to serve as its first Ombuds. The RFI is intended only "to survey the market for information ... for Ombuds Services."

Here is the executive summary from the RFI: 

Wake County Public School System seeks information from qualified vendors about provision of Ombuds services in the workplace on a contractual basis. Types of conflict management services offered, including business models, information about industries served, and any other relevant information is sought. It is intended that such services are designed to foster a respectful and supportive organizational environment. Qualified vendors will submit information as it relates to market available services. The district may compile the information submitted and create a Request for Proposal based on the information gathered.

Submissions are due by 1pm on November 20, 2025. (WCPSS Open Bids.)
