The four-year public university in Dahlonega, GA is accepting applications from internal candidates for its first Ombudsperson. NGCSU faculty approved the proposal for an Ombuds based on IOA standards on August 24, 2010. The new Ombuds will serve only faculty and staff and reports directly to the president. The proposal is being shepherded by Associate Professor Elizabeth Combier, who recently joined the Georgia State University Ombuds Network.
