The public land grant research university in Morgantown, has opened a search for its first Faculty Ombuds. The part-time (approximately 10 hours per week or 25% FTE) position will report to the Provost and provide assistance to all faculty members of the university community, "with preference given to those faculty members not holding administrative positions."
The new position is expected to follow IOA best practices. Applicants must must be an active or retired faculty member at the rank of professor or professor emeritus and preference will be given to candidates who are current or former WVU faculty. Experience in mediation and/or conflict resolution is required. The university anticipates hiring for a three-year appointment. Applications are due February 19, 2016. No salary indicated.
