The private, historically black university in Alabama has opened a search for its first Ombudsman. The position will report to the Office of the President and serve only faculty and staff. The TU Ombuds will be independent, neutral, informal, and confidential, but also will "serve as the manager of the University centralized complaints record system."
Applicants must have a master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in a relevant field and at least five years of experience working in higher education, with three years of experience as an Ombudsman and/or related experience. Applicants must also submit three letters of references and a copy of the appropriate transcript. (Tuskegee Post.)
