Chuck Sloane, the UW Ombud appointed last summer, has published an annual report that provides an overview of who his office has worked with and how they approach their cases. This is the first public annual report that the UW Ombud has provided to the university community since the 1970’s.
Sloane and his Associate Ombud, Emma Williams, report that they were contacted by 420 individuals last year. They also provide some detail about the types of cases brought by different constituent groups and how cases have changed over the past five years. The report uses the Prezi platform, which allows a graphical journey through the materials. (UW Ombud 2014 Report.)
