The IOA announcement provides the following guidance for nominators:
- IOA has fulfilled the maximum allowable number of Directors who are not in full compliance of the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as stipulated by Article IV of the Bylaws.
- There is no Retired Member Director currently serving on the Board.
- Directors must be able to serve on the Board, be engaged and attend monthly meetings, serve as a liaison to an IOA committee, and fully participate in Board activities.
- A nominee is not eligible to run if his or her term would coincide with the term of a current Director from the same institution or organization.
