Job Posting: Grand Valley State University

The public, liberal arts university in Allendale, Michigan will hire its first Employee Ombuds. The position will serve faculty, staff, and administrators and coordinate with GVSU's Students Ombuds, Takeelia Garrett. Unlike the Student Ombuds, which reports to the Dean of Students, the new Employee Ombuds will report to the University President.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in conflict resolution and mediation (or demonstrated equivalent experience or training). Preferred qualifications include: three to five years of college/university work experience; professional experience in management, supervision, and organizational development; and completion of a mediation certificate program or IOA training.
