Tony Belak, the University of Louisville Ombuds, will be a speaker at the 28th Annual Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management Conference. Belak, who also owns a consulting business, will be joined by Patrick Smith, HR director for a local residential health care organization.

The Ombuds is the lightening rod of conflict and not only attracts people in conflict but seeks out those individuals that appear involved in disputes or disagreements at work. The key is to act early before an interpersonal confict spreads among other members of the group.In this session we will utilize transformative practices as en extension of workplace conciliation and meditaton. This highly effective approach will get your employees to move from being the victim to getting on with their lives. The session will learn how to create and define an organizational ombud’s role and the impact of having a collaborative process to achieve effective results.
