The department responsible for U.S. energy and nuclear safety policies is hiring an Associate Ombudsman. The position serves as a neutral and impartial source of assistance to the newly-created DOE Ombudsman and represents her in consultations with the Department's federal employees, supervisors, and management personnel workforce regarding work-related concerns.
The position is open to current and former federal employees in the competitive service and people eligible under special hiring authorities within the Washington, D.C. commuting area, and eligible candidates applying under the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act. The GS 13/14 position pays $89,033-$136,771 per year and applications are due by Thursday, August 23, 2012. (DOE Careers.)
