Here's the complete description:
An Ombuds is a confidential, informal, impartial, and independent resource for employees and/or other members of an organization to discuss concerns. The anonymity of talking with an Ombuds coupled with the informality and independence of the role provides a safe place for employees to express concerns, think about options, and resolve their issues. For the organization, it benefits by finding out about problem policies and compliance violations earlier. It also can save time and money by retaining employees and avoiding potential liability issues. Bradley Ginn, veteran Mediator and the Ombuds at Northeastern Illinois University, will explain the distinctive features of this role and the benefits to an organization.(ACR Chicago Event.)
