The state college in Albany, which is part of the University System of Georgia, has named Wendy Wilson to open its first Ombuds Office. As Campus Ombudsperson, Wilson works with about 6,600 students and employees, and has oversight of the Campus Mediation Program. She reports directly to Darton's President.
Wilson is pursuing an EdD in Education Leadership at Columbus State University and has held a variety of administrative positions at Darton over the past seven and a half years. Most recently, she was Special Assistant to the President and Assistant Dean of Diversity for Cultural Affairs. (Darton Ombuds; LinkedIn.)
Earlier this year, Darton's Chief HR Officer and Legal Counsel, Kendall D. Isaac, published a law journal article about Ombuds and their quest for a legal privilege.
