The
Faculty Senate at the Pennsylvania State University has elected Mohamad A. Ansari to serve as the Faculty Ombudsperson for the next four years. He takes over from Pamela Hufnagel who served in the role since 2014. As the University Faculty Ombudsperson, Ansari will coordinates and trains of all college and campus Ombuds. He will report periodically to the Senate Council and maintain a liaison with the Provost and HR.
Ansari has been a faculty member since 1983 and is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Penn State Berks. he has held a variety of administrative positions, most significantly as chair of the University Faculty Senate in 2015-16. He earned his PhD from the University of Michigan. (Penn State News.)
