New IRS Ombuds Program Seeks Presidential Management Fellow

A new Organizational Ombudsman office at the Internal Revenue Service--the Proactive Resolution and Education Division--is seeking a Presidential Management Fellow to actively assist in the development and implementation of the program. According to the fellowship announcement, "the Employee Ombudsman Program is currently under development, and once operational, the program will offer a variety of conflict resolution services to the IRS workforce."

The Presidential Management Fellow will work closely with the program staff for two years and the compensation and benefits, while not specified, are said to be competitive. Background and knowledge of conflict resolution is desirable, but not necessary. Position is open until filled.  Francine D. Schlaks, an experienced federal mediator from Nevada, is listed as the Organizational Ombudsman in charge. (PMF Rotational Opportunity; A Matter of Mediation.)
