Baylor University Begins Work on Staff Ombuds Position

The private university in Waco, Texas has constituted a committee to gather information and make a recommendation about an Ombuds for staff issues. David Murdock, Baylor's Judicial Affairs Coordinator, chair the newly formed committee of faculty and staff. According to a news release, "the committee understands that a partnership with HR will be required for a positive outcome" regardless of its decision.

Baylor reinstated its Faculty Ombuds position in 2008 and has been considering an Ombuds for staff since at least 2005. (Baylor Faculty & Staff News.)
