Janis Schonauer, a leading Organizational Ombuds, has announced that she is retiring from her current position as the Ombudsman for AllianceBernstein this Spring. Previously, she worked in the Ombuds offices at Caltech and UC Irvine. In addition, she was president of the International Ombudsman Association in 2007-08 and also served as president of the University and College Ombuds Association.

Jan Schonauer, the firm’s Ombudsman, has announced that her retirement will be in late April of this year. Jan established the Ombudsman Office six years ago to engage employees throughout AllianceBernstein to identify issues and assist in resolution of those issues. We are grateful for Jan’s accomplishments as the firm’s first Ombudsman and appreciate all that she has done at the firm. Please join me in thanking Jan for her significant contributions to Alliance Bernstein and wishing her well in her future endeavors.
The firm has opened a search for her replacement.
