University of North Texas Ombuds Retires, Office Closes

In overdue news: Belinda Newman, the UNT Ombuds, retired on August 29, 2018 after 11 years of service to the public research university in Denton.  The university then discontinued the Ombuds program. 

Newman was very active with IOA and other professional groups. She developed and taught an advanced course for IOA and a was graduate instructor at Southern Methodist University. In 2014, she was appointed to the IOA Board. (UNT Notices.)
