California Lutheran University Creates Ombuds Program

Cal Lutheran, a private liberal arts university in Thousand Oaks, California, has named Helena Goto and Alice Sarfati as the first Ombuds for its 400+ staff. Goto is a principal with HG Consulting and Sarfati has been an employee since last fall. 

Goto has worked as a mediator and executive coach since 2011. She graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand. She earned a a Master of Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine Law School and an MBA at the University of Southern California.

In addition to a similar work history in conflict resolution, Sarfati has also managed a medical practice and worked as a television personality and producer. She graduated from Boston University and earned an MBA from USC. (CLU Ombuds; HG Consulting; LinkedIn Goto; LinkedIn Sarfati.)
