The extension program at MSU has named Richard A. Wooten as its new Ombudsperson. The MSUE ombuds is a neutral or impartial dispute resolution practitioner whose major function is to provide confidential and informal assistance to staff within the organization.
During this first year of the Ombuds program, the role is estimated to require up to 10% of Wooten's appointment so he will continue as a community educator and organizer.
Wooten earned his master's degree in Planning from Ohio State University. (MSUE Spotlight;
