The federally recognized tribe in northeast Washington is hiring its first Ombudsman. The contract position will have the responsibility of providing neutral, confidential and informal assistance to Tribal employees located throughout the reservation with potential or actual conflict with other employees. The reporting structure is not indicated.
Applicants must have bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, five years of work experience at a supervisory level for a tribal government, and an additional five years of other demonstrated successful employment. ADR or mediation training, and Indian/tribal membership are preferred.
The position pays $71,199 per year (less 5% during probation), and applications are due Friday, May 25, 2012. (Colville Tribes.)
