The large Minnesota school district has reopened its search for a Director, Staff Ombudsperson. MPS has been seeking to fill the position since June 2018. The current posting gives applicants a window of four business days to submit.
The full-time position reports to the MPS Chief of Staff and the duties of the position are in line with those of an Organizational Ombuds. The job is, "Responsible for working with staff to provide mediation and conciliation services to resolve situations and disputes; supports a culture that is ethical and civil, in which mutual understanding can be reached and differences resolved through respectful dialogue and fair processes." Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and and five years of professional experience in employee conflict resolution and mediation, or the equivalent combination.
