Brian Bloch, an experienced Ombuds was a guest this week on "Conflict Managed," a podcast hosted by Merry Brown, a workplace conflict restoration consultant and mediator. Bloch has been an Ombuds for over two decades and currently is the OMbuds for the Global Green Growth Institute, the World Central Kitchen, ISKCONResolve, and is co-Ombuds at Ashoka and NASA.

Brian Bloch has over 20 years of experience as an ombudsperson. He started his career by creating ISKCONResolve, a faith-based conflict resolution program. He developed the Ombuds program at the U.S. Department of the Interior working primarily with Native Americans. He now runs the ombuds program at the Global Green Growth Institute, the World Central Kitchen, ISKCONResolve, and is co-Ombuds at Ashoka and NASA (overseeing the program run by collateral duty ombuds). Brian spent years on a project of the Supreme Court of India introducing mediation into the court system. He has trained over 400 mediators and 50 ombuds. He has served on the board of the International Ombuds Association (IOA), and as an associate editor of IOA’s academic journal. He is an IOA Certified Organizational Ombuds and presently serves on the committee that certifies ombuds.
