Chevron Ombuds to Speak at International Ombud Expo 2024 in Botswana

Sana Manjeshwar, the Global Ombuds Manager for Chevron, will be a featured speaker at the International Ombud Expo 2024 this week in Botswana. She present virtually with Ombuds from other sectors on “Advancing the Role and Impact of the Organizational Ombuds in Africa.” Also, the International Ombuds Association has stepped up as a sponsor for the conference. Proud to be part of the International Ombudsman Expositon that kicked off this morning in Botswana. Wednesday and Thursday, Zetu Makamandela-Mguqulwa (Chair of IOA’s Africa RAC) and I will moderate 2 IOA panels highlighting the the impact of the Organizational Ombuds model in a variety of sectors and a spotlight on OOs in Higher Ed in Africa. President Sarah Klaper welcomed the group this morning with a virtual goodwill message and IOA Board Member Dr Youssoupha Niang joins Zetu representing IOA on site.

Organizational Ombuds

Organizational Ombuds serve as a confidential, independent, neutral and informal dispute resolution resource for a specific entity. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals.
