Job Re-Posting: Montgomery County Public Schools

The Montgomery County Board of Education in the DC suburb of Rockville, Maryland, has reopened its search for an Ombudsperson. This full-time position reports to the school board of Maryland's largest school district and serves parents, community members, 28,000 employees, and 160,000 students. (Ryvell D. Fitzpatrick, was the Ombuds for three and a half years and recently became the Director of the Board of Education for Prince George's County Public School.)

The requirements have not changed. Applicants must have a JD or Master's degree in law, communications, alternative dispute resolution, social work or psychology. ADR experience and work experience in a large public institution are preferred. According to the posting and salary schedule, the position pays in the range of $134,318 to $182,886 per year.
