Job Posting: Seminole Tribe of Florida

The federally recognized tribal government in Broward County, is seeking a Director for its Office for Tribal Member Support and Information. The full-time position, based in Hollywood, Florida, will establish and lead an office that assists Tribal Members in navigating Tribal Government services and community resources. The Director reports regularly to the Tribal Council and will provide guidance, manage informal investigations, facilitate resolutions, and recommend systemic improvements. The position calls for accessibility, impartiality, neutrality, and confidentiality in inquiries and conflict-resolution processes, and includes travel among the Tribe’s reservations as well as evening, weekend, and holiday work. The role also includes responsibilities for grant assistance and requests for records and information, extending beyond traditional Organizational Ombuds functions. 

A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Tribal Governance, Social Services, Conflict Resolution, or a related field and at least five years of experience in Ombuds services, conflict resolution, investigation, mediation, or a related field are required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred. Certification as an Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP) is highly desired. Knowledge of Tribal government structure, Tribal law, and ordinances is also sought.
