OAS (Organización de los Estados Americanos) has appointed Jean Ricot Dormeus as its Interim Ombudsperson. He follows Neida Pérez, who served in the position for the past eight years. The OAS Office of the Ombudsperson was established in 2015 and provides conflict resolution services to all personnel of the General Secretariat following IOA standards.
The Association of Canadian College and University Ombudspersons (Association des ombudsmans des universités et collèges du Canada) will hold its next conference at Toronto Metropolitan University on 3-6 May 2027. Ombuds and allied colleagues from higher education will spend for days on professional development, meaningful discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking.
