Faculty Ombuds Cases Surge at University of South Carolina

University Ombudsperson Jim Augustine reports that he handled 55 cases in the 2011-12 academic year, up 22% from the 45 cases he handled in the prior year. Most of the cases involved "Evaluative Relationships" and "Career Progression and Development" -- as defined by the IOA Uniform Reporting Categories.
