CPR Sets 2013 Annual Meeting in San Diego

After several years of meetings in New York, The International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution will hold its next annual meeting in San Diego, CA on January 17-19, 2013. Although no Ombuds will be speaking at the event, they may be interested in CPR's emphasis on incorporating conflict resolution as a standard business practice.

For example, the Business Roundtable on January 17 is described as follows:
In-house legal departments face a constant need to innovate and find ever more cost effective methods of dispute resolution. This panel of leading General Counsel will address the impact of increasing constraints on access to courts on their business. In addition, the panel will address the ways in which they have succeeded in embedding dispute resolution as an “integral,” as opposed to “alternative,” element of the business legal process and address specific elements of that process that they have found to be most effective. The roundtable will consist of GCs from companies with well-established reputations for proactive and effective dispute resolution processes.
CPR is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to help global business and their lawyers resolve complex commercial disputes more cost effectively and efficiently.  (CPR Meeting Info.)
