The Pennsylvania State University Faculty Senate has published the materials from the Ombudsperson Workshop offered last week by Deborah Atwater, University Ombudsperson. Since it was established in 1998,
the Faculty Ombuds program at Penn State has relied on a network of
almost 50 campus volunteers to serve as Unit Ombuds.
The training program included remarks from the provost, general counsel, affirmative action office, and other campus administrators. Materials provided included articles about conflict and faculty grievances, and links to other university Ombuds programs. (PSU Ombuds Workshop.)
