The new Staff Ombuds will be located within the DEI Office, an arrangement explicitly opposed by the Staff Senate. (Last December, the UW Staff Senate passed a resolution supporting the creation of an Ombuds program "independent of Human Resources, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or Title IX office; and ... report[ing] to the President and the Board of Trustees.")
Applicants must have a Master's degree; at least four years of relevant experience; and a basic mediation certificate. Preferred qualifications include Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner (CO-OP) or IOA certification. Applications are due by July 16, 2022. No salary indicated. (Higher Ed Jobs; UW Staff Senate Resolutions.)
