The public school district in Western Oregon has opened a search for its first District Ombuds. The new position will serve over 16,000 enrolled K-12 students and their families, district employees, and community members. The full-time, 12-month position will practice to IOA standards and report to the superintendent's office.

Applicants must have a relevant Master’s degree (or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education), conflict resolution experience (at least 60 hours of mediation experience and 30 hours of facilitation experience), and training or prior experience as an Ombuds. Preferred qualifications include: experience working education and/or knowledge of education and employment law issues and supervisory experience.
