In March 2008, the California State University in Humboldt introduced Laura Hahn and Scott Paynton as the new Ombuds for the campus. This week, the website for their office went online. Previously, the program had no online presence. In addition, the program at Humboldt has been updated significantly -- the website states that “Office operations are consistent with the code of ethics and standards of practice of the International Ombudsman Association.” Hahn and Paynton are both faculty members in the Department of Communication.
