Job Posting: Prince George's County Public Schools

The large school district in Maryland has reopened the search for an Ombudsman.  The job description, qualifications, and pay range have been revised significantly from the prior search in May.
According to the job posting, "The incumbent of this position serves as a neutral intermediary to facilitate positive relationships between Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) and the community at large and whose main function is to provide assistance to the public.  The Ombudsman will develop and monitor a process for parent and public complaints and questions, act as a source of information and referral, and assist in the resolution of concerns and critical situations."

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree.  A master's degree or the equivalent are preferred.  (The earlier search had sought legal or investigatory experience, which has been dropped.) The position pays $73,163 - $142,671 (an increase of 10-25% from the prior range) and applications are due November 6, 2014. (PGCPS Recruitment, via Indeed.)
