Concordia's Ombudsperson Kristen Robillard reports that that her office handled 471 cases in 2013-14. As usual, students were the largest group of visitors with faculty, staff and other totaling less than 17%. The report lists the nine outstanding recommendations made in past reports and adds three new ones. In addition, Robillard reports that her office has moved to a new space that is much more safe, accessible, and confidential for visitors.
The report also notes that Julie Boncompain has been Concordia's Associate Ombudsperson since January 2013. She has worked in a variety of legal position and also currently serves as a Referee for the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan. She earned Bachelors degrees from Concordia and the University of Montreal, and was admitted to the Bar of Quebec. (Concordia 2013-14 Ombuds Report; LinkedIn.)
