International Ombudsman Association Selects New Management Company for 2019

The IOA Board of Directors has awarded a contract to SBI Association Management for professional services, effective the first of the year. SBI is located in Seattle and serves 38 clients, including nine other international associations. SBI has 32 employees and is accredited through the AMC Institute.

Here is the announcement to IOA members:
Dear IOA Community,
I am pleased to introduce IOA's new management partner, SBI Association Management of Seattle, Washington, USA. As of 01 January 2019, SBI will provide support for IOA's day-to-day operations, as well as aid us in our transition to a hybrid management model.
SBI was unanimously approved by the IOA Board of Directors after a thorough search process. Having visited the SBI offices and met their enthusiastic staff, I can say with confidence that our partnership will be a robust and mutually beneficial one. Their emphasis on operational excellence and commitment to relationship building are a natural fit for an association of ombuds!
Learn more about the selection process, SBI, and what comes next on IOA’s newsblog, The Independent Voice.
On behalf of the IOA Board, I want to again express our deep gratitude to the Management Transition Task Force, led by Lee Twyman and Roy Baroff, for all the time and thoughtful effort they have dedicated to this search. Our appreciation also goes out to Bloch & Reed for their strategic guidance.
Finally, we thank all of our IOA members for your continued support throughout this period of transition. I look forward to introducing you to the SBI team in person at #IOA2019 in New Orleans in April!
Marcia Martínez-Helfman
President, International Ombudsman Association 2018-2019
(SBI Association Management.)
