Due to popular demand, the Professional Development Program at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Forum of Canadian Ombudsman and Osgoode Professional Development at York University will offer a course next spring, February 25 to March 1, 2019. The Essentials for Ombuds is a five-day intensive training collaboration in the heart of Toronto.
The program directors for the seventh year of the FCO/Osgoode Ombuds Certificate Program are Renée Gavigan, Deputy Ombudsman, Ombudsman Saskatchewan, and Shirley R. Nakata, Ombudsperson for Students, University of British Columbia. The full list of faculty has yet to be announced but is expected to include: David B. Butt, Barrister; Nora Farrell, Ombudsperson, Ryerson University and Past-President, Forum of Canadian Ombudsman; Renée Gavigan; and Shirley R. Nakata.
